i move that activision to make another mechwarrior game and none of this mechcommander bs i want real mechwarrior. cmon we all know n love it and it was a proven formula that no one said no to. it just seems wierd that they would drop a series so great as if it was doomed to run dry. cmon its not like they'd have any serious competition mech sims have been really umm cr@ppy of late. mech warrior 4 as great as it was (god bless its win 98 soul) is so dated its histerical.

Never going to happen. FASA owned the rights to Mechwarrior, Microsoft owned FASA, Microsoft killed FASA. Now I know Wizkids owns the rights to the boardgame, but I don't think they own the rights to the videogame. Oh wait thank you wikipedia...

On December 6, 2007, FASA founderJordan Weismanannounced that his new venture,Smith & Tinker, had licensed the electronic gaming rights toMechWarrior,Shadowrun, andCrimson Skiesfrom Microsoft.[3]On April 28, 2008 Mike "Skuzzy" Nielson announced plans to createVor2.0.

I know FASA was just one of many casualties of MS closing internal studios in recent years, so chances of another Mechwarrior game like the previous ones died along with it :( I still loved playing Mechwarrior Mercenaries in my Atlas mech - aah happy days :)

I was actually going to ask the same question! I remember spending countless hours playing MW3/4. It's been forever since a new game has come along. It seems like a lot of the variation in gaming has disappeared. Another great series that disappeared that I would love to see again is X-Com. Let's hope Living Legends is good.

Mecha games in general seemed to have vanished of the face of the Earth in this gen, what I would give for some company to throw out the next gen mecha game.

you see my last real mech game was exteel and though it was a great game it just wasnt polished, they could have used anything in the place of mechanized robots and have been the same game.as for the crysis mod though a tempting idea. id need to upgrade my gpu to run it well perhaps that on the shelf at the local retailer 3870x2 it is after all an eq. to a 9800gt (my proof).

There are a limited number on consoles, but some are a bit to Japanese stylised for my tastes.

Lol, the amount of people I know that have upgraded because of Crysis, I am lucky enough to have a Chinese friend with some next computer so I can play high spec games at his house anytime, lol. Seriously though what I would give for a Mecha, with customisation, real strategic battles, a great story...but yeh that would probably have similar specs to Crysis, Lol. Actually I don't care much for having the greatest graphics, average graphics would be fine so long as the game works well I would be fine with it, I can't even remember the last Mech game i bought...must have been last gen sometime.

lastr one i got was exteel back in 06/07 and its a decent game but by no means stellar. i would upgrade just FOR crysis though and to have bext graphics evur but b/c i want to enjoy longevity in my system before an extreme overhaul is required.

There might be hope for an armored core port to PC, but that's about as close as you'll get to another Mechwarrior game. I wish Vista could play Heavy Gear... never got to finish that game =(

If you got a 360, get Chromehounds. Closest game in recent memory to capture the soul of the MechWarrior series.
