Okay folks, now that Medal of Honor is out......What would you recommend? Should I get MoH, BC2, or should I wait until Black Ops comes out? BC2 can be had for $30 now.

Is it out already? Did you play the campaign?Black Ops looks much better than any of those.
I can't believe how hard MoH flopped, I thought the campaign would save it. What a shame.

It's out, haven't played it, but reading the reviews... The general idea is that it's extremely scripted, but unlike Call of Duty it basically plays by itself. As in, when a reviewer couldn't remember which buttons to press - due to craptastic tutorials - the game went ahead and completed the mission anyway. It doesn't allow any freedom at all and takes away control way too often. I'm not going to pay for a semi-interactive movie, I have Heavy Rain for that...
I knew the game's a big bomba when the best exclusive review EA could secure before the embargo expired was an 8.5:(
MOH supposedly has a decent but short SP campaign, MP as we all know is awful. BFBC2 has a decent SP campaign as well, MP is fun but hit detection is off, and gets a little boring once you stop unlocking stuff.
I'd just wait for Black Ops. It won't be long now...

Bad Comapny 2 had a TERRIBLE SP campaign. At least terrible compared to Modern Warfare and Medal of Honor.
It has about as much freedom as a call of duty game.

"The Call Of Duties and the Medals Of Honour, and those copying them, have often had you on rails. But they've done enough to disguise it, or make it so utterly thrilling that you don't care. Here, the disguise doesn't work nearly well enough."
This is what all reviews so far say.

From what i seen moh campaign has more on the rails moment than call of duty. I mean there is a moment that you drive a quad bike. The game takes control, it stops you and your character automaticly picks up a sniper rifle and zooms in. Then the only thing you can do is control the fire button and kill all the enemies til the game puts you back the way you were. You cant zoom in or out or leave the sniper scope completly and take out this guys normally. At some other point you got a famous call of duty like soap and price stealth mission but unlike cod if you dont do exactly what the game tells you, you are spotted and you die instantly. Atleast in cod you can fight back and survive. Also They keep calling you name 24/7 like you are special in the squad and not just another trooper. Let alone the fact that scripting is fail, at some point you have to supress a machinegun. But if you drop the m249 you cant get past that point since any other weapon you use does not work and you cant kill the enemy by going under the machinegun position and throw a grenade in, neither climb up there and kill them with your weapons or knife. This takes linearity and script into a whole new level. Please Log In to post.
