Hey guys, Need some help. I've got Medieval II Total War installed on my laptop (2 Ghz processor, 1gb ram, Ati Radeon Mobility X1300 graphics card) and the game runs perfectly smooth for 5-10 mins and then the screen simply goes black and there is no response from the laptop. You can do any Alt + Tab or Alt + F4 to change screen or close anything, just totally unresponsive, even when I press the shutdown button it does nothing (except when i hold it down for 5 secs for forced shutdown). It happens 5-10 mins into gameplay always, and the strange thing is the game works so smooth before that. Also once the black screen comes, the game music continues to play in the background which is weird. Anyway I could really use some help here as I have no clue whats going on! Extra Info: I've already patched the game with v1.2 and v1.3 so it's probably not a game problem, more a PC one...the question is what? Thanks in advance.

So ATI that happening. All I can say is try drivers updates or turn settings down maybe it's getting hot but I used to get that on games now and again with the X1950pro card in fact with all the ati cards I've had experienced the black screen of death at some point. Try tweaking with the ATI control panel etc. One of the reasons I made the switch to Nvidia after a long long time FX5200 and geforce2mx
