Metro 2033 Demo Finally!

Been wanting to try this game out for a while but herd it was pretty demanding. Guess now I can finally see if I can run it.

The idea is they don't waste resources on it because the number of people who buy on demos (for Call of Duty) is a lot lower then those who buy it for the name. Once all those people have bought the product they make a demo to draw even more in.

I was just checking a few hours ago for one and couldn't find one. Wow, the stars aligned for me today!

EDIT: Does FilePlant cap your download speed? I went from almost 1mbs to 350kbs suddenly. I average about 1mbs on Steam.

Apparently I'm in a game I don't know about... and can't download it. :?

Interesting, the same day I had finished the game a demo is released.

Thought it was really good actually, I liked the game more as I progressed, and there's certainly alot to like -- including awesome visuals and a game dripping with atmosphere. The glaring negative for me personally was the combat, it was bit on the clunky side, which may be fine or even intentional... [spoiler] in the later levels, I discovered that I should have played with more emphasis on stealth and done better ammo conservation throughout the game anyway [/spoiler] ...when striving to bring a survival/horror feel to the game. However, with more appealing and refined combat mixed in, instead of being a very good game it could have been exceptional!

The train ride through the tunnel was intense! :o
