In DX10 very high settings it just looks superior to anything that an unmodded crysis or warhead can achieve in my opinion. I think people are being biased in not accpeting that it is simply superior as far as the eye candy is concerned. Sure it's not open world and the environments are not interactive but still I am not saying the game is a superior technological achievement but just that the sheer detail, textures and lightning is unmatched. I would say this game is graphics king.

I let a friend play metro in high settings and warhead in very high with high shaders and he also said that metro just looks better, hez not a PC gamer and had no previous experience with the games...

It's really endowed when it comes to graphics. These two games have totally different visual art styles so it would be wrong of me to compare. Crysis wins when it comes to physics though.

And Metro has even more eye candy when you slide the option to DirectX 11....

It's also a corridor shooter that was released years after Crysis.

Graphically, Crysis 2 looks like a step backwards from Warhead.

Might be, if it's exactly like the gameplay we saw so far, but I actually want Crysis 2 for the CE 3 editor, the presentation was awesome and way above Crysis 2. One thing's for sure, the Crysis 2 mods will be amazing.

Metro has more high-res textures, indoor areas look better. Crysis has better character models, ourdoor areas look much better and it runs better than Metro

Metro 2033 has superior textures and indoor lightning (dozens of real time light sources at time), but his engine is uncapable to run those light sources in open areas as CryEngine 2 is. The game has also mediocre A.I. and bad animations, so overall Crysis/Warhead is still superior to me (and even ArmA II).

But if you still want to compare corridor shooters against corridor shooters the wait 4 months, Crysis 2 will be a corridor shooter that will put Metro 2033 indoors to shame (and probably any other shooter until at least Doom 4).

Metro 2033 does indeed look better than Crysis does but you have to remember the environments are rather tiny in Metro, but modded Crysis still looks superior.

I would agree with you in terms of lighting, and dark, indoor settings. However outdoors, Metro 2033 pales in comparison.
