Metro is a totally different beast. I think maybe in an update something like tesselation was toggled on. Check the normal suspects, tesselation, AA, the DX 11 DoF is a killer also. That hammers my machine and I'm running 580gtx sli.fm_coyoteIts fixed. lately I've been having the same problem with blops only it's different what happens is I get all the graphical glitches like windows turning black and lots of other stuff and that has only been happening recently and I think it might be my pc any ideas what it could be?
Try updating drivers. Google would probably be better to use for an answer.
Metro isn't CPU intensive (Beyond dual core makes no difference.) I have the same GPU as him and I can run it on very high at 2048x1152 in DX10. Yeah it chugs in a lot of places, but its more than bearable (except for some spots.)
EDIT: Well if it ain't drivers, your card is probably overheating or dying. Isn't overclocked is it?
[QUOTE="MegaMatt91"]Is metro 2033 just a really advanced game - or poorly optimized?topgunmv
Both. It's a really advanced game that also made the mistake of running a lot of physx(which runs like crap) stuff.
But holyMOTHEROFGOD is it beautiful when its running maxed out. I'd say its the best looking game stock/vanilla/without mods.
No it's not overclocked. I just got my graphics card last year around September. At one point I had my computer case open and idk if the fans were having trouble cooling with the case open or what but when I played bc2 my gpu would get so hot but that was back in like December or January and I've only just started having this problem a couple of weeks ago. Could my graphics card really be deing? If so what caused it to die?Try updating drivers. Google would probably be better to use for an answer.

thah-dude
Overheating I think. Maybe your fan isn't properly sat or needs new thermal paste applied. My case is quite crowded (Because cable management doesn't exist for me :P) but my GTX 260 has never overheated.

Agreed, it's just disappointing that they didn't choose a better performing (or make their own) physics technology.
