It's not really a free game, it's more like a demo where you have to buy the full game in parts.

A little and unknown game called 'Doom' was a free demo in which you had to pay for full game. Shame the business plan didn't catch on and no one's heard of it :(Nothing really wrong with the Flight business model. You can pick and choose what parts you want to buy. Alaska area to be DLC soon from what I hear.
Thing that really stinks about Flight is its barely improved over FSX and actually worse if you put addons into FSX.
Another one of those free to play games that's not really free. It's really just a demo. You get access to the big Hawaiian island, which is somewhat big but nothing compared to a real flight simulator having the whole world available. You have to pay I think $25 to get access to all Hawaii islands. They have Alaska next for another $25. Then individual planes have to be bought for $20. I can only see the most ultra casual with lots of disposable income having fun with this game.
[QUOTE="Agent_Kaliaver"][QUOTE="KnightSkull"]And then you realize companies need to make money... Yeah poor Microsoft. World's one of the most richest company is in dire need of money Just because they are already worth billions, doesn't mean that they should start giving away money or stuff for free all the time. And then you look at the DLC...

Just because they are already worth billions, doesn't mean that they should start giving away money or stuff for free all the time. K4ss3r
No one, at least what I have seen, has said that they should give stuff away for free. The thing is, MS killed a once awesome and long running franchise that allowed 3rd party developers (not just modders, but real development companies) to create products for use with their game. As noted, it featured the whole world, not just bits and pieces of said world as is now the model. There is no more flying from Hawaii to SoCal, or JFK in New York to Moscow. Gamers will be restricted to what ever areas they choose.
From what I have read on flight sim forums (as an avid flight simmer, I do read them), Flight is no longer a flight sim, but more arcade like flying game with just missions to fly and no actual procedures such as SIDS or STARs to fly and no need to use a check list before, during or after flight. Just get in and go. This is why gamers are moaning about this F2P game with just 1st party DLC.
