My friend wants to know if Office 2007 is compatible with Office 2003? Like, if he writes an essay or something on his PC using Office 2007 Word, transfers the file onto his memory stick, goes to school, plugs it into a PC there using XP 2003, will it work? Thanks.

He would have to save it as an office 97-2003 file instead of the typical .docx file used for office 07

Exactly. And he would do this by clicking the menu, then the arrow next to 'save as', then 'Word 97-2003 Document'. In case you were wondering. Otherwise it will not work.
