What are some mid tower cases with good cooling and not too expensive. Any recommendations?

I just got the CM Scout Storm and I love it, big enough without being unnecessary, cools things perfectly. I run an SLI set up now which is why I upgraded and although it still reaches pretty high temps, it's a hell of a lot better than what I had before and if I was more anal about cable management it would run cooler.

Not too expensive either.

Well, that's your opinion, but I am also looking at space, and included fans. Fans are about $10 a piece. If you can show me a case that has more than 4 fans (top, side, and front, excluding rear) for that price I am game. I also want something aesthetically good too. I was thinking less than $100. Cooling is my main priority and noise second.

I really like my Cooler Master CM 690 II Advance. Very nice features for the price and not too gaudy.

I have the Cooler Master Storm Enforcer, its a great mid tower with a good amount of room.

My Dad just got a Corsair Carbide 400R and even though its a mid-tower its almost up there with the full size towers. It has a good amount of room and the sides bulge out a little bit for good cable management.

I asked for a case recommendation, not how much money I should spend. Even so, I said I would be interested in a $39 case with the outlined features. You're not contributing anything. Just being a smartass.

Although the price is high, the case is totally worth it. Although you may as well go with the Full Tower too ;3

i reccomend you dont spend more than £30 or $40. theres just no need to spend any more.

seercirra

Imo cheap cases have a tendency to have cheap metals, which hold in heat.

If you put a decent cpu cooler in chances are there won't be room for a side fan. That's what happened to me.

I agree with this post, the phantom case is nice and looks great. The full tower is worth it, it comes with 4 fans (2 side, 1 top, 1 on back) with blue leds on the top fan and lots of space for cable management.

I really want the NZXT Phantom Full Tower. It'd on sale here at Micro Center for $99. I would just have to modify my desk a little.

well ive only ever brought cheap cases and never had a problem. i find i take the side off alot anyway to change things about and i prefer to see directly into my pc, seeing a mobo and fans spinning is alot more interesting than the side of a case. so i dont get heat problems. i never have either in the few times ive had the side on. never bothered with intake/outtake either, no need. my 2500k is perfectly stable at 4.6ghz.

.. then get a case window?

the problem with open cases is that dust buildup dramatically increases.

yeah and i can see that because i have my case open, so once a year i spray it with air duster. if you change hardware alot its far easier to have no side, and a light case - light because its cheap. really spending much than £40 unless you plan on doing serious overclocking or need the space of a full power for loads of drives is just pure ego feeding. it doesnt make your pc one iota better and its less practcal.

I was considering Cubitek Tatoo Beta but it was nowhere to be found when I bought my PC. It has some good reviews, and it looks quite decent, too (if you like simple design).

I saw bitFenix Colossus Venom, and no one carries it. One good looking case with 3 large fans (concealed), and it looks killer. I would prefer mine to have dust filters.
