Is it worth buying? I hear some say that I should just stay with Fortress Craft on the Xbox.

Never heard of fortress craft, but mine craft is pretty cool. I'd hate playing with it without mods, but it's none the less pretty cool.

Fortress craft is a blatant rip off of Minecraft with many features missing. I would say get Minecraft, it's not that much anyways.

Definitely go with Minecraft. It's miles ahead of fortress craft in terms of features.

Minecraft is super good if your the kind that likes collecting materials and building whatever you can think off with it. I suck at building stuff and have countless hours on it. If you get it make sure to get the Misa texture pack for it, makes it look alot nicer.

Out of respect for the creator of the Minecraft, I would avoid Fortresscraft.

Minecraft is probably the best 10 euro I have spent. (I bought it when it was 10 euros)

It's especially awesome if you join one of those great servers where you're involved in cities, economy and trade. Currently on one like that myself.

Minecraft has much more features, and is the original. Fortresscraft is a rip off.

the quality of Minecraft is dependant entirely on the quality of your imagination. Its more of a toy than an actual game, if you want to know the truth.

So if youre the kind of guy that, deep down, still wants to play with the Legos you played with when you were a little kid, then sure, its worth it. But if you go into expecting some sort of return from the game itself, then no, its not worth it. Finding diamonds and gold is pretty cool and rewarding, but ultimately worthless in the grand scheme of minecraft if you dont have the desire to use it.

But to answer your question outright, yes, I think it is worth it. Its an amazing game that is definately worth experiencing. I cant comment on multiplayer as I have yet to play it online, but I have a blast in singleplayer just mining and exploring caves.

If you're looking for a point to Minecraft, multiplayer is definitely the way to go. Some servers are more like SP with other people and some rules to keep the peace, but there are a lot with RPG style systems and complete anarchy servers where you have to fight to stay alive.

Another game that may be worth a look is Terraria.

You must get minecraft. It is mind blowing. Single player is all right, but Multiplayer with mods and plugins is just amazing. My server has a bunch of plugins. You can check it out by clicking on my signature.

I second Terraria... I'm having more fun with it rather than Minecraft.
