Minecraft multiplayer?

So I bought Minecraft a couple weeks back and am really enjoying it. The only thing I am worried about is the multiplayer. It says I have to put an IP adress in and all and I don't mind that, but there is no way to host a server. Will this be included in proper version?

There is a way to host a server. Download the server from here:

http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp

Look on the minecraft forums for instructions if you get stuck. There are also many open servers and access information on the forums.

Thanks for the link. The only problem is that I have ME2 and the file opens as an ME2 file. Is there a way tot fix this?
