Tell me what you think of it! I have to say, while visually arresting, it looks very very linear. Almost on a rail.

It is looking very linear, but I'm very excited by the gameplay elements - and I found just watching the video got my heart pumping. I have complained about the potential for linearity to trivialise the game in the past, but I'm not sure I care any more.
It just looks like a very wild and very unique experience - and I would love to see more non-traditional first person games like it. Feeling like a disjointed head floating around in the game world has been something I've had a problem with for a long time, and it looks like ME is really pushing the bar as high as it can go for an immersive first person experience.
I'll definitely be playing with the glowing-red-environment-aid thing switched off. Doesn't seem like the momentum would be hurt much without it.
It looks good, but is the video bad quality and why does the game feel "clunky" like when they jump between two areas it seems weird. But all in all I cant wait and can you go third person?HelbrecHighly doubt it then you would be playing Prince of Persia.

The gameplay is what is concerning for me. It has a unique visual style certainly but apart from that what else will there be?
I don't want the game to be standard platforming segments, merely wrapped in a First Person Mode. It needs to be more than that. Variety, Story, Multiplayer, all these sort of things need to be examined..
Its an intriguing game and I'm looking foward to it as the feeling is its something very different.
I hope though the game doesn't get somewhat repetitive like Assassins Creed, its showing a lot of potential just hope it doesn't fall flat; so far from these trailers its looking great and only showing signs of linearity which is not always necessarily a bad thing if its not overly linear and the gamplay is good. Looks fun.
Also I'd prefer thats its in First Person as it makes this game look so much more immersive.
Good to see you can pick up guns. And here I was thinking it was all about melee combat.pinneyapple
Yes but I think its going to be very minimal gunplay - which probably means they won't spend much time in modelling weapons or adding recoil functions etc to make it interesting.
This game looks better and better every time i see it. The gameplay looks awesome and fast paced and the graphics are very nice to look at. Nobody should care if it is linear...lots of the best games ever made are linear.hoola
True but not that linear. Even HL2 has fairly wide areas and architecture that makes the environments look bigger than they actually are. ME looks like its on piano wire or one of those arcade games where they move for you and you just push buttons at a certain time.

I don't think of high speed first person platforming as being 'standard', myself. I'm excited just watching it, and I have a feeling that it might be quite an amazing experience to actually play. Variety is great, but not necessarily necessary - we know from videos at least that there will be plenty of diverse locations, so level design is the only real issue.
Story, ehh... I like to think the game will have a quality story, but I'm grouping it with the rest of the FPS genre, meaning expectations should be exceptionally low. A good story would be great, but it's not vital to the game experience.
Multiplayer I don't care about at all.
