i did play WoW for around 2 months early last year but had too many other commitments to get into it.

im looking to get back into it at the end of the year. but is it really worth getting back into the game? does it still offer satisfaction for new/unexperienced players or will i just get ganked 24/7. has the story and maps evolved too much to make any sense out of it? thanks.

I played the game for my first time a few months ago, played a whole month and felt completely unwanted personally, felt like the uninvited guest at the top high school party, wasn't a very good experience, wait for a new MMO to come out like Guild Wars II or The Old Republic.

No... you can hop in any time. Not confusing whatsoever, might be cool to wait for Cataclysm as well since it seems like it will make a lot of changes, for new players as well.

Nah its not too late at all, I recently got into EvE online and that came out in what, 2003? :) (which is much better than WoW tbh.) You will be a little behind but with the upcoming expansion releasing next year that is plenty of time to catch up, levelling really isn't that hard.

Depends on your age. If you don't mind playing in a creche then go for it. I'm waiting for the old republic.

Nah, its not too late. Start out with a simple class to learnt he game like a hunter. Hunters are really good at leveling as well. Like someone said before leveling is very easy in world of warcraft. A good site to check if you play is mmo-champion.com

Be warned this game can take over ur life :D

I would say do it. Great online game. Get to 55 and get Wrath of the Lich King. Great expansion.

I started playing 7 days ago (just got the retail version) and I can say with great confidence it is not too late, there are new players joining everyday so you are not alone in this worry of "will i be a useless noob",

You arent the only new person joining so dont worry bout that and as for evolution of the game it still perfect for new people
