Mission and Weapon Idea for Half-Life 2: Episode Three

I have come up with a weapon idea for HL2: Episode Three and I would like to hear people's thoughts on it!

Gordon and Alyx are at the Wedding Ceremony but it is interrupted by G-Man and his cronies! Disgusted that they were not invited they unleash cages of headcrabs to attack the guests but they are more interested in the Wedding cake and holy water! It becomes a defense mission as you, Alyx your would-be wife, the wedding guests like Sheckley and the Vautigauns (Uriah complete with top hat) must defend that cake for as long as possible!

One of the new weapons you have here is the blender! Given to you by one of the guests, who really only wants to be there for the cake, this gift might have had the Freeman reaching for the reciept. But this is no normal black and decker blender! It becomes immensely efficient in taking down those headcrabs! It works like the gravity gun! In one hand you hold the container and in the other the lid. Hitting the left mouse button the blender attracts the crabs and skewers them onto the blades inside, you then hit the right mouse button to put the lid on and press the on button! Good bye uncle headcrab!

I think after you have also attempted to use your new stainless steel cuttlery set as throwing knives at the G-Man, who is adept at using his case like a shield, there should be a chase scene! G-Man attempts to drives off in your wedding car, complete with cans of Dr. Breen's water attached to the bumper, you have to run him down in a new vehicle: a hot air balloon! You have to fly this thing right above the car as he speeds off and try and throw projectiles down on that fiend!! Objects include legs of ham, wine bottle and a collection of coconuts!

So maybe their wedding rings (given by Dog as a page boy) could have some sort of laser cannon built into it that melts things!

I think the blender as a weapon is a good idea. But where will you plug it in? I've never heard of a portable blender before. They don't tend to be battery powered. Maybe you could get a Vortigaunt to give it a blast but that would probably just make it explode.

Maybe they could make some kind of blender-gun weapon, but Painkiller would probably sue.

Go watch Blade Runner. Gordon's existence began the moment he opened his eyes on the shuttle train into Black mesa. Once this whole mess is over with, he will cease to exist. So, no marries for Gordon.

Dont you know that Gordon's HEV suit has like 4 outlets?! Duh.

Also, I think they should have a fondue set...primary fire has you jab enemies with those sharp tiny spear-forks, while alt fire spews molten cheese everywhere.

i thought valve scrapped the episode idea since they wern't good at becuase they took to long for the time it took you to finish them.

howabout a a device that makes objects and have puzzles built around the idea.

I'd think that some sort of black-hole gun would be cool. It'd also tie into the physics altering theme of HL2.

Plus, it wouldn't beat shooting a mini-black hole into a pack of dudes and then seeing them all disappear, alongwith crates and barrels flying past you to enter into the black-hole.

More believeably, I'd say that they'd be putting the portal gun into it. Or at least they'd better... or else :(

When it's from Big L, it's not purposely stupid so much as natively. The plus side to it is every rare once in a while, he comes up with something so stupid it's actually brilliant.

JP_Russell and jasperrussell are two different users. We just both have the luck to have the almighty name of Russell. :D

I personally have only played the demo of Bioshock, and while I do have CoD4, I haven't played it yet (still working my way through other things). I would say CoD4 based on what I've heard, though.

I think someone has already come up with stealing his leg! I blame Monkey Island 2 for that! Remember the part where you have to saw off the pirates peg leg? lol. Maybe Guybrush will have a cameo in EP3!

The short answer: No.

I wholey expect nothing less than a cameo by Guybrush Threepwood in the game.

He would give the game a really humourous tone and I can't wait to see how he handles the modern weaponry.

Imagine that: he has to put the bazooka, magnum, wisk and blender all in his pants like in the Monkey Island games!!

I suspect it has something to do with Guybrush being in Episode 3 as well as the headcrab killing blender idea.
