Modern Warfare 2 Problems =/

Hey GS,

Here's my problem. Whenever I want to play MW2, I have to restart Steam. I've tried running DXSETUP from the MW2 folder and that did nothing. Basically, I can only play MW2 once per launch of Steam.

I've tried restarting the computer. I've tried running Steam in compatability mode for Vista/XP. I've tried running the game in safe mode. Nothing seems to work except restarting Steam.

I don't mean to be a nitpicker, but does anyone have a recommended fix for this? I've tried everything I can think of and I really want to fix this problem.

*sigh* that game is full of problems. Why anyone would even buy the PC version does not occur to me. Anyway just rightclick on the game in steam, delete local files, then redownload. its probably corrupt files or something

Still better than the console versions, believe me... :P

My Xbox bricked and someone gave this to me for free, so I might as well play it =P

Game is such a waste for pc... We literally got a console game with keyboard and mouse support... hell when I dced the first time it said please reconnect to Xbox live. Granted that error message only came up a few times as I believe it was patched (now it just says reconnect or something I forget).IvanElk
