hey, im currently shopping around for a power supply and i care about aesthetics and airflow, so i thought i should get a good modular psu.

but do i really need to get modular psu for a case like lian li's k58? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112238).

im probably going to purchase that case soon. case seems beast, and definitely accomodates my needs.

so should i get a modular psu (thinking like corsair 620w), or should i stick with a non modular one?

Tough one. I have used both and don't really have a big preference. The modular PSUs do certainly allow for fewer cable BUT if you do go that route just make sure to read several reviews (and not just user reviews but a few actual full reviews) to make sure the connections are good and solid.

if the psu is from a respectable company, then there's not much of a difference between modular and non-modular aside from cable management.

yeah thanks fellas, have been thinking about modular psu due to the good cable management that it is capable of.

can you guys link me to some good ones? preferrably on newegg or something.

i currently have a pc&p silencer, it's a great power supply from a respectable company but the length of the cords are too long

^ I have that PSU, it's non modular... Wouldn't trade up to the modular version either, I don't think it's worth the extra $40 if you have a decent case. I managed to hide all my extra cables in the Antec 900.
