Single player is fine. However, when I try to play multiplayer it prompts that I need to update my version of the game. So I press the "ok" button but to no avail. No update. If I press enough buttons I may get the server browser so I pick a server and it may tease with the message that I am joining.....but I never do. I just keeps giving me the promise that I am joining. So I opt off stuck with only single player $60 later. What to do? I go online and there doesn't seem to be any update or patch to fix it. There is discussion but I want a straight forward offer of a patch. Is it beta? Is it the first or second patch? I went to EA and they are vague as well. According to the server browser there are servers out there and since the game offers a way to update I should be .....updated by now. I don't get all this. What up?

You need to create a shortcut for MOH MP UPDATER. Every now and then, when you want to play MOH MP, double click the updater and after it updates it will start up the MP.

The proper way to create shortcut is go into C: > Program Files (x86) > Electronic Arts > Medal of Honor > MP (Folder) > Right click Mohmpupdater > send to desktop (create shortcut).

Easier this way for future updates.

Do this for the single player campaign as well. You should have 4 desktop icons for this game. SP launcher, SP Updater, MP Launcher, MP Updater.

Anyways, as far as patches goes, I think Danger Close and EA has ditched the people who purchased this game. They haven't even addressed any of the major issues with the game, let alone the pestering little ones that drive me up the wall.

I may be ranting here, but I think some people are right that MOH isn't all that great. I ditched MOH within a week, and I was one of the very few that defended and supported this game on the SP and MP side of things. There just isn't much to like or talk great things about with MOH. And it doesn't help that they ignore game bugs, glitches, and other issues pertaining to the MP and SP.

You read my mine. I think the multiplayer shortcut that you may find in your startup menu under games is by default the MPupdater exe but I could be wrong.

But yeah garbage game is garbage. We get free content tomorrow (search and destroy mode without any objectives... yay. 2 new maps and 2 of the same MOH maps redesigned for that mode. Thought we were passed this with bc2). Then you can pay 10 bucks for 1 game mode with the same as above. There is supposed to be a patch tomorrow but it's not confirmed for release.

If I hadn't listened to the fanboys "ZOMG BEST GAME EVER, SO MUCH CONTENT IT'S AWESOME, ZOMG NO CAMPING SNIPERS EVERY ROUND, ZOMG SO AWESOME" BS then I wouldn't have wasted my money on this game. Silly me.

I've been out of the loop when it comes to MOH, but I will definitely check out the patch just out of curiosity. Thanks for the heads up. I agree with all your comments. Totally true.

The new PC patch addresses some of the issues with the MP, at least. Most notably, the awful spawn points on some of the maps. Digawal camp... oh man. If you have all the points, you can just farm the enemy team. I find myself enjoying the game despite its faults. But I only paid 30 for it..

I only paid $30 as well, digital download. Because I only paid that much, I guess you can say I am not as upset about MOH lately as the next guy who paid $60+tax. I'm going to check out the new PC patch addressing the issues with MP. I agree that the spawn points were so awful. I can't believe sometimes that DICE made the MP when BFBC2 is such a great and fun online game. Go figure. Further more, I would enjoy MOH MP a lot more if I could sustain a match or round as an assault or spec ops class. It's actually very satisfying playing that class on a decent map, when you're not forced to snipe because the opposition just snipe camp spawn points.

This is why I've become so disillusioned with the FPS genre. I played the beta to MoH and I instantly said "This is just BFBC2, I already own this." So it was. I played it again on a buddy's computer, and guess what? It plays almost exactly like BFBC2, at least it feels that way to me. You know what would be nice? A shooting game that actually required skill, guns that had actual recoil, with spread patterns, range affecting damage severely...like ArmA but without the brutal fisting that's required to learn how to play the game. I'm just so sick of every shooting game doing the same thing but with a slightly different feel. I mean, the FPS game that I've stuck with isn't even a AAA title, it's an F2P game from ijji.com called Alliance of Valiant Arms, just because of the fact that it played pretty much different from a lot of other games out there. I won't lie though, I'm still going to keep my eye on Homefront.

I respect your opinion but I will HIGHLY, highly disagree on the comment you made that it is just like BFBC2. What you say "it feels like BFBC2" is probably the Frostbite engine and nothing else. And I will agree with that if that's what you meant to say. Because MOH is far and away anything like BFBC2 in terms of gameplay, maps, even physics, gunplay, the list goes on. Funny you mention recoil. MOH had none of it, but BFBC2 has plenty of it. MW2 has even less than BFBC2. No offense but I feel like you haven't played enough of these games or something but I could be completely wrong. It just doesn't sound like you played them because of your comments.

You described Counter-Strike perfectly.
