This confirmes my opinion of Molyneux being an idiot. That and the insane hyping of Fable 1 (which dissapointed) and Fable 2 (which will dissapoint)

Heh. Molyneux might have some credibility if he'd released a good game this side of Dungeon Keeper 2.

The Movies was pretty awesome. Actually so was Fable and Black & White. Sure, none of them really lived up to the hype (The Movies would have been spectacular if it shipped with Stunts and Effects included, but it was still well worth the money) but none of them were terrible.
I do agree that Dungeon Keeper and the expansion/sequel were his best work.

I don't know how much you know about Molyneux but he is really closer to a genius than an idiot. He is responsible for the evolving ai in black and white and also came up with The Movies which was one of the most original ideas ever.
His problem is not that he is an idiot but that he does not understand the market very well. He hasn't ever had too much commercial success and while he may blame it on the market it is more likely due to the fact he doesn't really understand the market in the first place.
Having said that, he is a true inovator and deserves a little more respect than being called an idiot.
He can't really talk even thought i do like him but he supports the console that has contributed to killing it yes Microsoft your killing yourself with the xbox aren't you.
If you think its in tatter do something about it consumers can only do so much and stardock can only do so much.
If you want to be taken seriously again on the pc pull your weight start the trend.
Whats the point nobody reads my ideas.
Not only is he an idiot....he is a retard and so out of touch I am pretty sure he doesn't know what planet he is on.MrUnSavory1
I'm pretty sure that his level of creativity and skill in innovation in relation to games surpasses that of most users on this forum.
PC gaming is indeed one big mess nowadays. Every day you see another developer (many of which started out on the PC) complaining about piracy and talking about switching over to consoles. Then there's that whole issue with DRM. Then there's the issue with a lot of PC games being buggy, horribly optimized and requiring a top of the line computer to play despite looking like crap.
Having to deal with all that might have been worthwhile if the system actually had worthwhile games still coming out for it. PC games have always had lots of technical problems, in fact moreso in the 90s than now. But even despite that, it was entirely worth it to be a PC gamer back then because I got to experience some of the most compelling, deep, memorable games ever made. But what's the point of dealing with all the crap involved in PC gaming nowadays? So I can play mediocre crap like Crysis and Dawn of War? No thanks.
Monyleux may be an idiot, but he's right about PC gaming being in tatters.
Maybe they are trying to recapture their glory days on the PC when they were new and edgy, and not being whipped by their console masters to release the same clone rehash over and over again.TeamR
Right. Because when CliffyB was a PC game developer, he was a beacon of creativity and innovation. Unreal, Unreal Tournament, UT2003, Unreal 2, UT2004, UT3...wow I can barely handle all this creativity.

You forgot Jazz Jack Rabbit. I think it was the first PC game I've ever played.
We've had many years of buggy games, very little advertising, unfinished games, bad demos, bogus release dates, high priced over hyped hardware, .....
Oh, yes, Peter Molyneaux is so completely wrong about PC gaming being it tatters.
When I look at Peter Molyneaux I see some who comes up with one unique idea after another and somehow manages to get funding for these mostly untested concepts. His biggest flaw is that he keeps talking about these ideas before finding out if his team can actually pull it off.
When I look at the haters I see a bunch of people who still haven't figured out that 99% of game hype should never be taken seriously. Chill out. If you like adventure games and RPG's there is a decent chance Fable II will be enjoyable.
