Monitor help please

So I just got a new PC and I am not able to get anything to display on my monitor, its completely blank. I used the monitor with my old PC and experienced no problems. Can anyone help me by telling me what could be wrong? Thanks.

Maybe a mix up with dvi-i and dvi-d cables? Sometimes you can kinda squeeze one of the two types into the wrong socket and not notice. Did you make sure you plugged it in in the first place? lol.

I'd check to make sure it's plugged into the right port on the back of the computer. If there is intergrated graphics on the motherboard and an aftermarket video card, make sure you plug it into the video card as that would be the default.
