monthly fee for guild wars ?

i read somewhere that the guy who was responsible for not having a monthly fee for gw has been fired from arena.net and now their managemet decided to introduce a fee for this game starting with a small one of 5 $ from may and then increasing it up to the common 15 $ /month.

i only hope it was an april joke

btw anyone knows if there will be a fee for gw2 ?

If its true Guild Wars is going bye-bye from my hard drive. No way in h*** am I going to start paying for what was a free to play game.

ok i was just searching the net againg and found out that there will be changes in arena's personell but that thing with a monthly fee seems to be a rumor, i dont have the link but it was some gw fan site.
