Phobia - I'm fairly confident that's what AS:V was based off of - it's a freeware game where you are placed in an environment and try to survive as increasing amounts of aliens try to kill you. Very, very addicting game. Start with Phobia 3 - search it on goolge and I think it's a 100MB download.
