Granted, but why play a game that is focused on story if you only stipulation to playing the game is being able to skip the story?

Great interview. I can't wait for The Old Republic, I have 5 other friends who are dying for the game to release. Only problem is, each group contains 4 people. Some of my friends will have to get the cut. :(

No, lots of people have been complaining over and over that the MMO they play is just grind grind grind with no story.....

I can appreciate a good story, but it is not why people play mmo's. Single player rpg's are for the story, not mmo's. I have yet to hear the masses cry for more story in their mmo, not sure which ones you are playing. Most people I know click accept as soon as they open the quest, not even bothering to read it.

Most MMOs have a story, they tend to be very light on plot, but there is a lot more to a story than just plot. Characters, Setting and Themes are other important factors in stories. Knowing Bioware, the Characters will be excellently made, Plot will also be good for mmo standards, but I am not so certain on Themes and Setting yet.

I never played mmos for stories, most of the time I play them for the interactivity within a gameworld and endgame. SWTOR may change my mind, but I am still not so certain if focusing on a story in a game that is about longetivity was such a good idea.

They seem to keep on releasing new infromation, but It just never satisfies..I wan't to know more!!

And why do you think that it? because the story generally sucks.... people are used to just clicking the quest and accepting it cause they know the story won't matter one way or another, it's just a fetch quest.

Why are people bringing down a developer that wants to do something DIFFERENT in the MMO scene?
