Can't Install Vista, or repair my system help!

Oh and to mke it worsenow when I try to boot Vista, itgive me a black screen, flashes, then stays black

Oh and if this helps when I dont try to boot I get this

So whats wrong, is it Vista, Is it a HDD failure, MoBo malfunction, or just a plain old human error? You Decide!

Next edition: PhysX edition!:)

EDIT: Why does God hate me so? Second HDD, i get a error message at 83% of part two of the installation, now that one goes into a black screen after vista loads the files

What do you mean you can't install or repair the installation?

It would be very unlikely that it'd corrupt the exact same file over a number of installs.

It was already installed, you can see that from the error message he's getting, plus he said that ;)

And the second line was "...when I try to boot into Vista", besides, the look of the error message is how the Vista boot manager looks anyway :).

So this happens each time you try to reinstall or repair?

Is your CPU fan istalled properly? IS your RAM overheating?. Try to REFORMAT your drive and start over. It may have been a corrupt install.

I have Vista installed already. When I dont try to boot from the disk to repair Vista thats what happens. When I try to boot from the disk it used to just give me a black screen, a flash, then another black screen but now I'm trying it again and its just staying at the initial blueish aura screen and doing nothing. When It used to go into the installation, it couldnt repair due to something about the HDD I believe (I forgot what it said and I cant get back to it), and when I tried to clean install it stopped at step 3 at 0% and would not move

Dude FORGET about REPAIRING the intsall. Just INSTALL as though it were new. YOu just have the computer boot from the cd-rom and disable HD boot for the time being. Then it will ask you to delete all partitions do so then create a new partition then it will want to Format drive

When I did a search I found out most other people got this were dual booting with XP, I'm not

Advice I got from other forums: Tale out USB devices when installing Vista. On my original boot I had a USB keyboard in, now I'm using a PS/2 KB/M, nothing.

Use a fixboot command at the command prompt, havent tried this, and dont know how

Run Windows RE, Said they couldnt fix it

It also happened with someone's Pre Built Alienware

Okay now I found out how to get to the command prompt, but my pc doesnt make it that far

I'll try again and tell how it goes..

Is your HDD failing, did you receive a SMART error code? Try installing on another HDD.

Dude the problem is the Hard Drive is Toast. Buy a new one or connect another1. You can get a 200-300 gb for $50-$80 on newegg.com. You can find 80-160 gb on ebay for less than $50.

160:| My current one is 400GB.

Are you sure it's the HDD? Because that doesnt explain why it takes over a half hour for the vista installer to go b\from one screen to the next, also the mouse lags. Badly.

Dude maybe its your Physics Processor. If not I dont know what the Hell else to tell you other than It could be the Motherboard. It just sounds terribley like a hardware failure somewhere. Maybe its the Vista CD too, I dont think so tho. I would try installing Windows XP as the next step. If it does the same thing then you know its your system. If Xp does load then maybe its the Vista CD...
