Right now i got 4gb ram .. adding more 2 gb ram will help increase fps in gaming ?

What is the rest of your system like? ram won't increase fps much if at all really, it's your graphics card and cpu that will have the biggest impact on fps.
I heard ps4 is famous due to its ram power so i thought lets upgrade my ram lol

The PS4 is completely irrelevant to the PC, the hardware works differently. You should disregard that completely.
Even a PC with 4GB of RAM and all other decent hardware with at least GTX 660 and Intel i5 is better than PS4.
i am plan on buying EVGA GT 640 2048MB in near future .. thats all i can afford it right now :)Hashim19Don't. Just because something's newer, doesn't make it better.

Only if the game needs more than 4GB of ram and most dont. Whats more important than the amount of ram is the speed of the ram but even that isn't a huge issue for most games. Id say most games out now only use 2 to 3 GB of ram so taking into account What windows is using that's cutting it close but it is enough. If you want an actual significant increase its gonna have to come from a GPU and or CPU upgrade.
i am using 64bit windows .. and i usually play games on 1360x768 or something resolution so i dont think buying new graphcis card will do any favour to me because i dont play games on higher resolutions :)

A better video card will always increase framerates, no matter what resolution you're playing at. And as long as your framerate is ever less than your monitor's refresh rate (probably 60), there is room for more GPU power (as long as it's paired with a CPU that's not going to bottleneck it). RAM has a limit. Basically, there's the amount of RAM that a game needs, and for the vast, vast majority of games, 4gb is already past that, and having any more RAM beyond what the game needs does literally nothing.
What sort of budget do you have in mind? A decent cheap card like the 7750 is pretty decent for the price or if you have a little extra a 7770 or nvidia gtx 650ti. Coupled with an i3 2120 and I think you will be able to run most games comfortable seeing as you aren't planning to run them at higher resolutions.can anyone suggest me good and mid range graphic card which is not expensive but good overall performance wise ? .. or should i wait for next - gen console which will cause price drop in graphics card.

Of course battlefield 4 might require 4 browser windows and 3 origin clients open to run.topgunmv
That's why I'm putting 64gb of RAM in my new build this fall.
:lol:
In some larger games like the Total War series, ArmA, various MMOs, you'll see a decrease in load times and maybe a decrease in stuttering. For most games 4 gigs is actually enough. More ram is always good though becuase then you can have other things running in the background without worrying about lagging down your machine.Â
You'll see larger performance gains with a more powerful graphic card with more video ram.
Framerate is tied more into your processor and graphics card, so you might get the tiniest of boosts or prevent stuttering if you have any such issues, but 4gb is more than enough RAM unless you're keeping a bunch of crap open in the background while you game.
Like others have said - adding more RAM will decrease loading times and possibly get rid of some stuttering.
But for increasing fps, a better GPU and CPU are much more cruical.
You could also try overclocking the GPU and/or CPU you right now have as that will help too.
I went from 4GB DDR3 ram at 1333Mhz to 16GB with the same specs and i didn't notice much of a difference, well i don't think i did, maybe i should of got faster ram.
just download some more RAM dude

just got 4 of these
* 4 GB ( 2 x 2 GB )
* 240-pin DIMM
* DDR2/3/4 800 MHz ( PC2-6400 )
Â
download took 7 hours
new consoles have no effect on the price of PC components, the introduction of new PC components may reduce the price of older iterations but that's not guaranteed to happen.can anyone suggest me good and mid range graphic card which is not expensive but good overall performance wise ? .. or should i wait for next - gen console which will cause price drop in graphics card.
