Which game did you think was better? I like Fallout 3 because I love the VATS combat system, the post-apocalyptic world and the massive city to explore. I enjoy guns more as well hehe. So which of these two Bethesda games did you enjoy the most?

It's probably more fair to compare Oblivion to Fallout 3 due to age, but I still prefer Morrowind. Fallout 3 is good, but Morrowind just felt deeper to me.

Are we talking about Morrowind or Oblivion? If we're talking about Morrowind then I'd go with that.

We're talking about Morrowind. I know obviously Fallout 3 is helped a lot by newer technology so it's not completely fair, but I want to know which one people preferred or thought was more fun out of the two of them. I mean even though Morrowind is old, when Bioshock came out, people still compared it to System Shock 2.

Fallout 3. Morrowind might have a bigger mod community, but its core content can't hold a candle to Fallout 3.

Morrowind is leaps and bounds above Fallout 3 and Oblivion. It's really not even fair to compare them. They appeal to different crowds.

I can't choose between the two. I love them both. It just depends on what I'm in the mood for. Morrowind is a huge fantasy world that actually feels like another planet, all with its own history and lore...it's fun to get lost in that. Fallout 3 is a great world to explore in, though, there isn't as much lore to explore and it all takes place in cities familiar to us. Nonetheless, there is a lot of fun action in it and interesting characters to meet. It definitely has its own vibe.

As an aside, I replaced all the sound files in Fallout 3...the music that Bethesda released with the game didn't seem to fit. I used music from a bunch of horror and sci-fi movies like City of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Escape From New York, La Planete Savauge, House by the Cemetary, etc. ... it really helps add to the ambiance of the game.

i played morrowind ( the game before Oblivion) for a long time, every day after school ( back in middle school and early high school) i would play play play. i would bust out the little map that came with the game and go to all the different places and meat all the newest people, and i only got as far as talking to that 1 imperial in that little river town. then i got the game of the year edition with all the expansions and i would play that for god knows how many hundreds of hours. But with Oblivion i found i couldent eally do that. i hade to fallow the main story somewhat or i couldent keep expanding my character and get new items. I have yet to reach lvl 20 to unlock the glass armor for oblivion yet have completed the Thieves and assasins guild, and did at least half of the fighters guild and yet only got to lvl 9. in Morrowind i got to lvl 36 before it was accdently erased :( . i feel the same for fallout 3 exept even more so, if you dontplay the main story you wont unlock and discover new things. its not open ended like i thought it would be. im hoping to get X3 in a few weeks and see how that goes.

Morrowind, I've played through that three times doing a large number of side quests and exploration each time. I can't even get through Fallout 3 once I'm that bored by it.

Morrowind. It was epic in scale, and yet every area was surprisingly detailed and full of hidden secrets. Aside from the combat, the gameplay was fun and deep. Fallout 3's world just felt empty, with really only a handful of semi-interesting quests scattered across a totally bland wasteland. The only thing fun about the gameplay was the combat, and even then that just felt more like a buggy shooter than an RPG.

Morrowind was the last epic RPG from Bethesda. Fallout 3 and Oblivion aren't bad games, but both are mediocre RPGs.

I've not played Morrowind, and Fallout 3 is a weak RPG. So, no vote from me.

For me, Morrowind was more enjoyable than Oblivion, and Oblivion was more enjoyable than Fallout 3. That said, I found both Morrowind and Oblivion to be vastly better than Fallout 3, which I found to be nothing special. Loved Fallout and Fallout 2, but Fallout 3 isn't something I forsee ever playing through again.
