WTF, 7 Dollars?! It says 15 Euros (which is almost $20) over here -.-
But yeah, get it. It's a great game. It's the single player game I've spent most time on so far. The fact that it doesn't have fast travel other than to main cities / mages guilds makes exploring a completely different experience from Oblivion or Skyrim. The quest are really good also, highly enjoyable, more so than Skyrim and Oblivion (could be just the nostalgic value I attribute to it since I've spent so much time playing the game). Deffinitely worth it, although you should've gotten it during the summer sale when it was way cheaper.
Remember though, it's a fairly old game so you can't expect it to be as good as it's successors when it comes to gameplay mechanics.
morrowind assuming you can get the expansions like bloodmoon and tribunal is a pretty awesome game. many consider it to be the most well rounded elder scrolls game amde. (thoug many swear by skyrim or daggerfall (personally i fall in the latter category but i can understand the former))
Damn, went up in price :(. Maybe another sale. Brean24You can check out the screens i took on the what where you playing thread, the mod i was using is a huge compilation that is all u need :) It's called morrowind sounds and graphics http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/28929786/quotwhat-were-you-just-playingquot-ver.-2.0-post-screens-56k-nooooo?page=228 there's the screens :)
Vanilla Morrowind is pretty damn awful. The world is barrenwith a horribly ugly artst.yle to boot, with barely any enemies between your travels. The NPCs are lifeless zombies with 'dialogues' consisting of wikipedia like pages. The animations are horrendous, and the combat really kills it completely. Hell, at least if the story was any good it would have ben worth wile, but even that is ridiculously mediocre with a half assed ending.
But my modded Morrowind, now that's a whole different story. It is one of my personal favorite games of all times. What i did was add mods that basically made the game come alive (over 20 of them), even fixed the animations to look good and added a much better 3rd person camera. I only added the standard graphics mods (Vibrant Morrowind 4.0, Better Bodies, Better Heads and Darknut's texture packs) so it wont interfere with my other, infinitely more important, gameplay and RPG mods.
I actually loved the game even on vanilla state, the combat was just a matter of leveling up, but now with the huge compilation of mods i have, the game is a thousand times better and much more playable, even though my combat isn't modded do u know any mods for combat?Vanilla Morrowind is pretty damn awful. There's one called Combat Enhanced that's respected and popular amongst Morrowind modders, adds a bunch of improvements & features over the combat, though i haven't added it to my mod list yet.
