[QUOTE="ZBoater"]Oh good one, that one slipped my mind, this game is killer on the GPU.That game brings every computer to its knees. That would probably be Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Brings my PC to its knees...

Marfoo
you could also download 3dmark06 to benchmark with.
Edit* As for games, F.E.A.R. is pretty intensive too, and has a built in benchmark.
[QUOTE="CassiusGaius"]You can try Supreme Commander or Company of Heroes. Sandro909
I've maxed out CoH on a 7600GT, 1GB RAM, and P4 3Ghz... it isn't very demanding at all.
What resolution? My computer would get eaten alive by CoH at 2560x1600, and it's no slouch.

Out of curiousity, do you happen to remember the benchmark results? Or the average FPS you got while playing.

My CoH benchmark results = average FPS of 142. I was shocked too.
is flight sim majorly demanding in DX9 mode or does it only start to choke up once you install the DX10 patch? jsut curiousgtarmanrob
Flight Simulator X has always brought machines to their knees, regardless of what API it uses. Even overclocked quad-core systems with dual 8800GTX cards and 4GB of RAM can't max out that game smoothly.
Solitaire
Especially after you win and the card starts jumping around the screen. Many computers have been fried trying to process that graphical beast.

Eh, its pretty demanding. I have a e4400@ 2.66 / 2 gigs of Patriot / 8800 GTS 320 factory o'ced. I have problems running it at 1400 * 900 with 4 x AA and high settings not ultra. I actually keep the physics/shadows/reflections low and its iffy.
Thought it runs at like 1380 * XXX flawlessly. Just when I hit the next resolution the fps is not to my liking.

LOL, Dirt?
I have a 7600GT and i can run it at about 10fps...so i cant be that intensive!

Most of you are listing games that are poorly optimised, not graphically demanding (e.g. FSX and Dirt).
I would say Oblivion maxed with AA+HDR is up on the list, as is Supreme Commander with maxed details (although, it's still a CPU bottlenecked game).

SupCom with shaddows easily. It will chew through all the processing time on a quadcore if you let it and it will eat all of your memory until it crashes. Sad thing is i like TA and its graphics more now in direct comparison....

I can run it @ maximum settings & getting 20-16FPS
I think your CPU is maybe bottlenicking your GPU.
Those game's even with a 8800GTX wouldn't get 60FPS @ 1920x1200.Most of you are listing games that are poorly optimised, not graphically demanding (e.g. FSX and Dirt).

Yeah, it's a big bottleneck, I'm thinking to buy a Q6600
