Most intense FPS games

What do you think are some of the most intense, adrenaline pumping FPS games?  

I would have to say Far Cry 3 did a pretty good job of making some fluid and fast paced action.  It is a blast to run around a corner stab the guy, lunge into another guy, throw that guys knife at another guy, then use your deagle to cap the other 2.  I really want more games like this, but even more pistol action and agent feel.  

Battlefield is easily my favorite when it comes to big scale and the war like feel.  

Bulletstorm, Mirror's Edge and Brink.

DayZ - a game with actual consequence and risk/reward concepts. Not much else is adrenaline-pumping in comparison.KHAndAnime

True, I just never really think of it as an FPS, but your right.  Very intense, but in a completely different way.

Quake 3 comes to mind.

Yeah, the PVP of SWAT4 is the most adrenaline stimulating game for me.

Something along the lines of Hard Reset and Painkiller.
