So I've finally decided to get a 5770. But now there are various brands I can choose from including Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire and XFX. Which of these would you recommend? I'm not too worried about custom coolers, tweaked cards etc., I just want a reliable card that won't give me any problems. I haven't had any experience with any of these cards. The brands I am looking at though are Asus and MSI, simply because I haven't heard any complaints about these brands. I've heard some complaints about Gigabyte though. So, based on your experiences, which of these brands would you pick and why? And also why won't you pick the other brands?

I may be biased, but I recommend MSI or XFX.

Go for what ever is cheapest, no point in spending more for a slight overclock or a slightly better cooler and all of them these days come with 3 year warranty's.

HIS and MSI make the best coolers and XFX ususally has the best warranties.

GIGABYTE is a mobo major and powercolor is ok.

All good brands, but I really suggest MSI. They have an awesome price to performance ratio, and most of their cards are silent.

If you have a Best Buy in the area, they are selling 4890s at "clearance" itmes. At my local Best Buy they had 1 left and it only cost $146.

No such thing here dude. I'm from South Africa, where everything costs double. If I convert the price I'm paying for the 5770 to dollars, you're looking at $280. Besides, 4890 is old technology. I'm after new technology/performance.

so 280$ South African Dollar Currency for a HD5770 how much for HD5830/50 :D ? : Best Warranty international rated would be ASUS / XFX From waht i heard even if XFX doesn't offer lifetime warranty outside of north america there support is nice : for how ever who as the best price & airflow : probabely sapphire

because sapphire in some case in north america they sell for nearly the same price as the original the Video card Manufacturer Unreferenced such as Example the Sapphire corporation does propose The vapor X series Which are Cooler & Quieter then the other Series But the warranty isn't top-notch 2-3 year :

but the pros is that that the video card making less noise / and much less hot by 10-30Celcius cooler :thus more reliable but Sally more expensive when not offered in a madness Sales but those madness sale i see them every few month :P so it normal to see people buying those at same price as Regular in some shop

but i must say for South Africa : DOES The video / Other computer hardware Manufacturer Offer Mail in rebate Ultra Special with Very reputed computer store Exist ? Don't know about that : I bough an asus 8800GS for 64.99$ after MIR : Everywhere else it was 89.99$ to 129.99$ i bough that last year for my dad computer it was is money tough but he needed a gpu thatr replace a Dead gpu lol all other weaker gpu was like.. 90$ :P
