Well I want to know your scariest moment in games. Mine is Quake (Not the multiplayer) when you walk thru the long hall and suddenly you see a big "monster" or like a "boss" coming out of the dark. I hit the escape and quit. Like 1 week after, I played again when it was light outside :D
Silent Hill 3 Hospital Storeroom. I'm sure watching a youtube video of it does it no justice, but encountering this room randomly in-game was wonderfully frightening.

Probably anything from Siren: New Translation, some scenes from Condemned and Condemned 2 (In particular the locker scene), the first action sequence on Call Of Cthulhu and the F.E.A.R. expansions have some utterly scary scenes.
Can't remeber the exact moment, but Clive Barker's The Undying almost made me wet myself more than once. Stil IMO one of the best games I've ever played.

Stalker SOC, no atmosphere like it, the lab specifically. When I played through the game again I was dreading going there, even though I knew what to expect.
Dead Space was tense also early on and other games have their fleeting moments of tension, Fear, Bioshock.

you dont know atmosphere till you've played stalker :) I don't know about that,I just played stalker once and got no idea what to do,couldn't pass the beginning,the weapon sucks,and the enemies are almost impossible to kill,I got slaughtered,

Learn what exactly? Dead space for example, could use that to full the player into thinking "its gonna happen" but its doesnt happen and just when you are conviced it wont happen, it happens and you poop your pants because you didnt expect it.
