What in your opinion are some of the more underrated games, because either they never received a whole lot of hype, or were actually given bad reviews.

you're right. i totally thought gamespot gave HR a 7 or 7.5. i stand corrected i knew the game was generally VERY well received, but for some reason I thought gamespot had an episode of their usual against-the-grain mentality with yet another review. i guess i was thinking of another game.
Arma 2- Yea it scored a 8 here but every time I play it I love it more and more. Plus a lot of people don't talk about it unless it has to do with the DayZ mod which is sad.

Arma 2 is truly overrated without considering the major hype it has with dayz now. It's a terribad game by all means.

Honestly, Arma 2 deserves exactly an 8. It's buggy and the engine it uses is pretty poor.
This is one series I tried REALLY hard to like. But the extremely grim atmosphere of the game took a toll on my mind. It was like I was addicted to the game and couldn't stop playing it, but still it was really disturbing for my mind. Eventually it was to much to bear, and had to quit playing it. Had to even undergo counselling with a psychologist to come out of my disturbed STALKER mindset. I've played loads of disturbing games before, but none of them had affected me like STALKER. Don't know why. The atmosphere of STALKER really disturbed my mind severly.
