Windows Solitaire and PinballRK-Mara
Bingo, I've spent more hours on Solitaire then half my gaming collection. Good times.
world in conflict? didn't it get great reviews?
i'd have to say titan quest. got like a 7.6 or something on metacritic.
Myst
Dune
Castles Siege and Conquest
Total War Series
World in Conflict
Mad Dog McGee
srbbnd
Joke post? all of those got good reviews and get lots of praise from the community.
Some of the older lucasarts games
Day of the Tentacle
Sam and Max Hit The Road
Monkey Island
Or going even older, anyone remember One Must Fall? the robot fighting game from dos says?
How about hot rod, or scorched earth.
*sigh*

I agree too. That and the System Shock series. System Shock 1 was eclipsed by Doom 2 and System Shock 2 was eclipsed by Thief: The Deadly Shadows and Half-Life. They were both undoubtably better.

How the heck did DS overshadow System Shock 2? They came out six years apart. That is just absurd. TDS is one of the most underrated games ever made as I have stated previously. It should be called a cla**ic, like the SS series often referred to as (mostly the second game).
SS2 and HL are so different as well...
Sanitarium....the greatest adventure survival horror game ever.Cabal23
I thought I was the only one who bought a copy of that game, it was terrific.
Then there was GRIM FANDANGO another great one, but the most under rated has to be the LITTLE BIG ADVENTURE series
(aka TWINSEN) great story, great world, and hilarious characters, and no one's ever heard of it

I think he was talking about Metal Age. SS2 and the contemporary Thief game used the same engine, the developers said they can create a hybrid .exe that loads both of them.
SS2 and HL are different, but HL was released earlier and it was something like today's Crysis: every new game was lost in it's hype. I guess everybody bought HL over SS2... And that's why Levine pasted the SS2 story in BioShock - he knew it's instant win and that today's reviewers and gamers don't know anything about it. And also that they are easily impressed by anything that's more complicated than searching the golden key...
The original Unreal doesn't get enough credit, up against all the frothing of the mouth over games like Quake and HL
Also Chrome - well above average shooter, but no-one ever mentions it
I'm surprised someone said Deus Ex, though, it was Game of the Year, and you still see it for sale everywhere, i'm not sure it was that underrated - it is great though!

Even if it was the Metal Age they were released two years apart.
As for your "comments" towards Bioshock that is just absurd because everyone knows about System Shock 2 and I really think that you are denouncing gamers by saying they are impressed by anything. The story isn't "pasted" - the game stands on its own merits thank you very much. I don't get this "instant win" talk..
mafia is probably the greatest overlooked game of all time. I mean great reviews and things but the players just didnt seem intrestedbonafidetkThats so true. And its of an infinitely higher quality than that other game about organised crime ahem...
AvP 1 and 2, i thought those were **** great a few years back.
Star Trek elite fore 2. hehe i kno, its star trek, but it was fun.

I meant Thief: The Dark Project. And also, Thief recieved more praise AT THE TIME OF IT'S RELEASE than System Shock 2. But, I agree with you. Thief is still underrated.
And also, about HL. Look at what Baranga said.
