this is a nforce 410/430MCP with nvidia geforce 6150 integrated graphics.

i was wondering what the heatsink thing circled in red is. what's underneath it? and what happens if i remove it?

Hmm...... Northbridge heatsink. Don't know why you would want to remove it. For more info google Northbridge.

Out of curiousity? If you remove that heatsink there is a very big chance that you will need to buy a new motherboard. That thing controls (usually) the AGP and the RAM. Suggest that you don't remove it

You will see 1x1cm black crystal square chip surrounded by white thermal paste, written nVIDIA...etc

Do you really want to remove it? Don't do that... unless your Mobo is not worth anymore...

wt if i get a new graphics card and remove that? cause the square thing is blolcking it

Better if you buy the single slot type graphic card...
