I'm just curious if anyone knows if plans are in the works to bring a motion sensitive controller (like Wii and now ps3) to the Pc?

I've never been big on consols, and always pump my money into to my Pc so I would be very interested in such a project, I've seen a guy on utbe who ported the Wii controller to control a vacum via bluetooth and his pc but I'm not sure what the gaming potential of this is, I would hope microsoft are working on relasing something and that future Pc games offer compatibiliy for it.

Anyone know anything else??

Motion sensing is overrated and I did not enjoy it with my Wii, which is now sold.

Apparently you can make the 360 controller into a motion sensing controller by adding a chip to the controller, since we can use a 360 controller on the pc then I'm guessing that it'll also work for the pc........though it all depends on devs

There are and were many motion sensor and other other style pointing devices out to purchase for use with the PC.

They are not made buy your commercial style logitec types but by industrial manufacturers and cost over $100 for the low spec models. THese are the types of dudes that sell keyboards for $1000 (yep regular keyboards) and i'm not kidding.

If you search online you might find them but it's more like cheating using that type of control system for PC games like FPS

it replaces ur mouse and is like using a light gun.

srry i don't have the names and cant be bothered to search for em. but there are quite alot of ranges out there.

I feel sorry for you.

Don't be. I sold my Wii and got a brand new hardware upgrade for my computer for no less than $413. The Wii sucks (I used to think differently, but I have seen the light now...PC gaming), as well as Nintendo. Yes, that's right. Nintendo isn't great. They leave out the hardcore area of games for all of us. I hate the direction that they're going, and always will.

Omigod! Check it out...Mario Party 8! Sweet! Mario Strikers Charged? Hell yeah! Now I can play A Soccer Game online with other people! That's fun. There's no blood, guns, or anything remotely linked to the sort. PC gaming, in short, is the best way to go (unless you have a lower budget...then just get an X360 or PS3).

I'm a PC gamer, but Wii is nice addition to it. On the other hand you can't find games like Zelda and Mario for PC. And no blood and guns you say? I just came home with Resident Evil 4: Wii edition with the PEGI's 18+ mark on it.

Umm,if you have a Bluetooth dongle and a Wiimote, there are several programs like GlovePIE that lets you play emulators or map buttons or motions with the Wiimote. Also, you could get the Wiimote HL2 mod.:P

No buddy. I'm saying the direction Nintendo is going, sucks. It's not my style of gameplay, so I had no choice but to sell it. The PC on the other hand... ;)

Really, there is more to gaming than blood and guts...

and that's what Nintendo is proving.

I have no interest in games like Super Smash Bros whatsoever. Their lack of the FPS category was clear and I despised the direction that they were going. The Wii is more for kids, and PC gaming has always been solid for more adults.

I still can't understand why non-violent games are "only for kids"...

Maybe I'm retarded by enjoying them... but if that's the case, I prefer to be.

What that minigames = more sales and cheap development? Or craptacular multiplats are the way to go?

I mean cmon. Why did the PS2 sell so well? The best seller on it is Grand Turismo 3. Thats saying somthing.

The Wii is great, but Nintendo arent proving anything, exept that the general public have taken well to motion sensing conrtrols over cheap hardware.

I like the Wii but seriously. Think realistically.

Still it is the only video game console ive seen a bunch of 60 / 70+ year olds get into. And I still enjoy playing Wii tennis lol.

Yeah, games are supposed to be fun and entertaining. Blood and guns don't make it entertaining. We can only feel sorry for Skullheart if he only plays violent FPS games. Did you even try to play Wii with your friends? Even my girlfriend enjoys it!
