So right now there's a pretty kickass sale on steam that includes M&B, M&B Warband, Napoleonic Wars and M&B Fire & Sword. I've not yet played any of these games and I'm wondering what the general consensus is on them? I hear napoleonic wars is a good time, but I've not heard much about M&B and Warband. I know they seem to be strategy games and Warband apparently has some 1 on 1 fighting (hope I'm correct on that), but would they be similar to something like Shogun2 or is this a different kind of beast? My question is... Would $18 be worth that pack of games?

I've played alot of Mount and blade: Warband and the expansion Napoleonic wars. And they are great games and while its got the price slashed I would recommend anyone to buy them. However I reckon that in a few days it will go from 50% - 75% Off as the today only deal. So if you were to buy it. I would wait till the final day to see if the game shows up on the Daily deal.

You can put hundreds of hours into the game since there isn't an end to it. Conquer lands, serve kings, becoming a king, it really is an amazing game once you get into it. You can tweak your files so that you can have larger battles too.

Tey can't be further from actual strategy games, they're combat simulators, because of that they're absolutely terrible at everything they do and try to achieve except the thing that makes them superb, fighting in multiplayer, if you want to play an awesome medieval combat simulator online go for it, but wait, as previously stated, it'll most likely be 75% off in the next few days, I'm also waiting for such a sale, I already have all of them from other digital places, but I want to also have Warband and the DLC on Steam.

Okay, so I ended up buying it last night. Thanks for the input though, it helped me finalize my decision. I decided to buy it at this price because I still think it's quite fair for how much you end up getting and I didn't want to wait and find out it wasn't on the -75% off deal. From what I've seen so far I can definitely say Napoleonic Wars make the whole damn package worth the price! It's absolutely fantastic, and really plays how I would expect it to, slow and methodical. I'm very much digging the way the battles occur, and happily they couldn't be further from the fast paced movie style sh*tbox shooters that have been coming out non-stop these days. At this point I definitely think it was worth the $18 I paid for it all, thanks for the input!
