Mount & Blade: Warband.......worth buying?

I have been really tempted to buy this game, and now that its on a steam sale i really want to pick it up.

But i have to ask about the online community. Are there still alot of players?

Also generally what do you guys think of the game?

Anywho the game is really great and there's lots of players, some servers have up to 222 slots and are nearly full all the time!

Yes, it has the best combat system of any game I have played.
