Mouse loses connection, dying?

I'm using an Microsoft optical usb mouse and it keeps on disconnecting every few times and then eventually it stops working completely altogether. It makes that usb sound when it disconnects and reconnects always and the light of the optical mouse goes off when it doesn't work. Is the mouse dying, I only had it for a few months and its the second one.

I have the drivers installed.

Yeah I'm looking at getting a logitech. Its just so annoying that both of these mouses have started failing within months:evil:.manny020
