I've had a Razer Diamondback for about 4-5 years now. Scroll button doesn't work anymore, and the scroll wheel only works 1/2 the time. So it is time for a new mouse. I'm looking to spend about $50 max. Right now I'm looking at the Roccat Kova mouse, it's $43. http://www.roccat.org/Products/Gaming-Mice/ROCCAT-Kova-/ Anything else I should look at? I don't want to buy anything razer again. Their crap is just overpriced.

The g9x can be had for 50$ if you look around on the good ol' internet. Great mouse, I love the wide grip that came with mine.

I've decided on the CoolerMaster Sentinel Z3RO-G It's $40, and it looks really good. 5600 DPI twin Laser, not an optical sensor, which is good imo. Unless anyone can point me to something around $40 that is better, I'm going with this. Cheapest G9x I could find was $70.

I have a steelseries Kinzu that I like, but I'm a lefty so I hate most mice with extra buttons or a curve to them. Its nice and simple and was only like $35.

I know I said I don't want razer because they're overpriced, but the build quality is solid. The Razer DeathAdder is in my price range. It has an optical sensor though, and it's a bit more at $48. So, what do you guys think out of these 3? Razer DeathAdder Black Edition - $48: http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=16950ID7401&vpn=RZ01-00152400-R3M1&manufacture=Others Roccat Kova - $44: http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=27130ID5997&vpn=ROC-11-200-AS&manufacture=AZZA%20Technology CM Storm Sentinel Zero-G - $41: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=62923&vpn=SGM-6001-GLLW1&manufacture=COOLERMASTER

What kind of gaming are you into? Laser mice tend to have a higher latency than optical mice, so for twitch gaming - like most FPS titles - you'd be better off going with an optical mouse. It's also worth thinking about whether you really need a 5600 DPI mouse. Only if you're covering a very high resolution monitor and like to play with a very low sensitivity is that kind of resolution really going to offer any kind of conceivable advantage. Personally, I've found I play much, much better with a cheap, low-res optical mouse than any high-priced, high-DPI laser mouse. If you're primarily an FPS gamer, you might be interested to know that the IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 (which can be had for under $30) is the most popular choice among competitive FPS gamers. Logitech MX518 is another very popular choice. Other than that, I'd just stay away from wireless mice and ensure your USB mouse polling rate is set to 500 or higher.

I had no clue that Cooler Master made mice...

I have the Death Adder and love it. I like the simplistic design and it feels really good in my hand. The scroll wheel is great. Biggest and only reall issue I had was the left and right clicks are fairly sensative, but that is no longer an issue. After maybe a week, I was used to it and now love the click sensativity. When I use friends' mice or ones at work, they just seem slow to click now.

I've had a Roccat Kone for about a year now. Very impressed so far.

The mouse comes with a number of different weights which can easily be changed depending on how heavy (or light) you want the mouse to be.

The software is good as well. Plenty of options for button configurations and adjusting the mouse sensitivity.

You can change the colour of the LEDs on the mouse as well which is pretty cool.
