Ive been having problem with games not running as well as they should and recently i checked my bus interface and its only running at 1x. Now I don't know heaps about the bios or anything so could someone give me a simple-ish guide to how to get it back to 16x because i think its my problem.seldeadYou should be able to set the bus speed in the cmos settings. Just hit delete when your computer boots up and it should take you to the cmos menu. After that start looking around for PCI-E settings and try to find the one you're looking for and set it to the highest value your motherboard has. (8x or 16x)
Well game performance isn't absolutely terrible but its not up to snuff for a 4870, like fallout 3 cant run on high settings at my native res 1080p or even at much lower like 720p and from what ive read in benchamarks it should be able to run max at even a higher res. (1920x1200).
I checked the bus interface in techpower GPU-Z and in catalyst control center and both say PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x1 2.0.
