MSI 570 for $280 CAD: Good Deal?

I found this deal while browsing the NCIX sale:

I was wondering if anyone had anyexperience/problems with this card, and if it's worth purchasing? Checking the newegg reviews (couldn't find any on google), there are some people complaining about it dying during games/booting.

I currently have a 8800GT in case anyone was wondering. The deal comes with a free Just Cause 2 and Mafia 2 coupon as well, not to mention I live near their store, so I won't have to pay any shipping costs.

I would say to do it. Really good price for a great card, imo.

Whoa that is a good deal. I was about to buy a Gigabyte 560 Ti SOC, but I may get this instead. Even though I detest mail in rebates...

its a sweet deal, but if its mail in rebate just forget about it...ive been scammed so many times out of mail in rebates im not even going to bother anymore. The ONLY time i ever recieved a rebate check was like 8 years ago, and even that took 3 months after my application.

So, my advice would be to shop for the price WITHOUT rebate. That's basically what you'll end up paying and forget the rebate even exists.

So, my advice would be to shop for the price WITHOUT rebate. That's basically what you'll end up paying and forget the rebate even exists.

A GTX 570 for $300 is still a great price, as they retail for at least 345 here in Canada currently. That $20 rebate is just extra savings if you can get it.

Yeah, rebates suk, because they take forever to arrive and sometimes they dont even honor it. Though Msi has better service than gigabyte @ NA, so thats something to consider. I think thats a great deal for only that much!

Well I went ahead and bought it. $300 and 2 free games, and only $5 shipping is still a wicked deal IMO. I've done rebate once before and I got it (though it took a while), if this one goes through... icing on the cake. CAN'T WAIT TO OC THIS CARD! :D
