CPU: AMD Athlon X2 4800+ or better

RAM: 2 gb DDR2

Video Card: 8600 gts or higher

That would be a good start for you.

If you're upgrading your current rig and want to put in the components advised, make sure you have an adequate PSU (Power supply) to power the ever increasing needs of graphic cards. In addition, I alway play with wired keyboards and mouse, rather than wireless, a decent TFT monitor - 20" or below.

AMD Athlon X2 4800, 2 gb DDR2 , 8600 gts or higher are great choises if you want to upgrade your computer. But just as the one above has said, you have to make sure you have an adequate PSU (Power supply) to power the ever increasing needs of graphic cards. Before the new school time, I also update my computer, I get a new CORSAIR DDR2 2GB dual channel. My computer works great with them. I had no problems at all installing this memory into my computer and getting it to recognize it properly. This memory runs extremely fast and I didn't have to do anything special with my computer to get it to do so, which is great. I got it with a pretty price: $60 in stead of $75. The ddr2 is still on sale now I think and I found this pretty price at a deal site. If you want to have a look at it, here is the link to the deal I found:

Hope this helps.
