Dont get too excited. Tons of people will be opening new steam accounts just to use hacks on the free MW2 weekend. I bet you wont be able to step into a game without there being a blatant aimbotter. (even more so than there currently is in the retail version)

Check your Steam Folder. Go to C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common. There should be a folder that says "call of duty modern warfare 2". Its something happening with Steam with it not updating the pre-load level, but the file should be downloading.

lol they will do anything just to squeeze out some sales. As someone said above, yes there are aimbotters and wallhacks for this game. I've seen at least 5+ and we just leave server when one of these knobs enter. I haven't played MW2 since getting BC2, I haven't played BC2 since getting Settlers 7 lol
If anything I think Valve would pay Activision for the freeweekend rather than anything else. Think of the number of people downloading steam just to play the free weekend.

I never played MW multiplayer before...sorry BC2 but I suppose I can put you aside for one weekend cant I :)

Youre currently playing a far superior game. I doubt you will get through more than a couple of hours of MW2 before putting it down and getting back into BC2.
