MW2 isn't bad at all.

Yes yes of course it isn't bad at all if you don't mind the price tag of 60 bucks, noob tubes fest, AA-12s fest, dudes with knife with commando, marathon and lightweight perk, worse than MW1 etc. then you will definitely love the game.

I only played the SP at a friends house, but my impressions of the game were very positive. I think BC2 is a better game, but MW2 definitely has some great moments. Don't listen to the people saying it sucks or calling it pathetic...most of the time they are just fanboys of other games or are just haters trying to look cool by going against the crowd. I'm pretty sure 90% of pc fps gamers like MW1. And 99% of PC fps gamers hate MW2. So how are they fanboys, if they liked the first one? OH wait! They arn't fanboys, MW2 DOES SUCK.

Yeah, I'll give you credit for making up your own statistics but that's about it. One stop on the user review page for MW2 shows a pretty different story, though. 66% of PC gamers that submitted a rating for MW2 scored it "great" or better, with > 50% scoring it "superb" or "perfect".

well I cant tell you that you didnt have fun, since you obviously like it. I will say most of us didnt really appreciate what they did with the game.

The fact those other two games might be considered better or preferred more doesn't give any credence to your claim that "99% of pc fps gamers hate MW2". The fact is the majority of people who rated MW2 rated it "great or better", and it is (according to X-Fire) in the top 5 of most played online games right now. That's a pretty good accomplishment, even if it's not doing as well as past iterations.

If you want to say COD2 is better than MW2, you have some pretty good evidence to fortify your opinion. However, the position you are taking now is utterly without merit.

I don't need to, there's a ratings page where over 8000 people gave their opinion of the game.

Look, I am not saying MW2 is awesome, the best FPS, or anything like that...but stop with the non-sense. The majority of people who actually played the game seemed to like it well enough, even if overall people prefer or consider other online shooters better (like COD2, MW1).

Well I prefer BC2 over MW2 myself, I think it's a much better game.

But I am not really defending the game...I guess it's the hyperbole and gross exaggeration surrounding the game that gets on my nerves a bit. If you want to say it's the worst game you ever played I really don't care...that's your personal opinion. It's only when people try and say "99% of pc fps gamers hate it" is when I think there should be a reality check. the game is not nearly as bad as some would like others to think, and even though it seems to have been bested by prior versions, it's still a very popular online game.

I wish the folks on this board would tune down the exaggerations...words like crap, horrible, garbage, ect have totally lost their meaning on these forums.

It's not terrible, but it does have major flaws that need to be addressed. Plus, it's $60 (for no reason). $60= CoD 4 + The Orange Box (both of which provide better single and multiplayer experiences.
