I'm sure it's a silly question but when I was preloading SP and MP at the same time, I saw it said 14GB for both. But knowing that I had to download SP first, the whole game itself should be 14GB, right? Just to be sure.

[QUOTE="Jebus213"]Pretty large considering the campaign is roughly 5 hours long and the MP maps are so tiny. Language pack I'm guess?mhofever
If they are because of language packs, I wish they'd have given us the choice to have all languages or not.
It's likely both modes together or high-res textures etc.The Frostbite 2.0 engine's lighting allows visuals to be greatly enhanced beyond what they would look like otherwise so the size of the game folder itself is deceptive, not to mention DICE's art direction is "unnaturally clean" which further reduces size required. As for MW3, on PC it doesn't look as bad as I expected: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/594701250499416440/CB6A1B73A653ADD4D205F47CE9548E41A4E77B30/http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/594701250499413334/7FD19359DD5B04D9B5CEB457E0CBE2BE327EE094/http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/594701250499412474/16D89608D81D15F78FD5D644F388ED6775EFD6EF/SP Seems to be only around 4 Hours long, so I don't understand how it could be bigger than BF3 considering the size of the maps in MW3 vs. BF3.

Nice.
The campaign for me so far has already been worth $60, and yes, it's the same length as always but even less filler than previous CODs; I'm scared to touch the MP to be honest because I don't think the pointstreak system can possibly be balanced and the fact that they give each weapon a specific ADS unlike previous CODs is good for the campaign, but if it carries on to the multi... Anyway, you can unlock MW3 earlier on steam using a VPN: http://www.flyvpn.com/freetrial Any Asian server will let you unlock MW3 and play right now, just make sure not to close the client because Steam checks for region each time it loads Steamworks games. All i want to do is just play the stupid game already.

Thanks i may not be sleepign tonight
I played about 1 1/2. P2P is horrible right now, so much lag. On dedicated the game is good. But it is a little to crazy though.
What region are you in? If I'm not mistaken, if you region isn't unlocked, you'll be getting a ping of over 200, although I honestly haven't tried the multiplayer yet and probably won't until I finish the campaign. How is it running for you guys anyway? I'm running it on max at a surplus of 120 FPS but this is on a high-end build that handled TW2 + ubersampling so I have no clue how well optimized the game is compared to, say, MW2 PC version, but unlike Black Ops, it runs perfectly on day one. Also, the 14GB IIRC is for the campaign, multi, and the spec ops mode which has 16 multiplayer maps. My friend is running the game on an HD 3650 and Q8300 @ 2.5 Ghz on max settings, everything set to extra, 4x AA, SSAO on high at 1080p and is getting playable FPS(not affecting gameplay significantly) meaning that's at the same quality as the screenshots I posted which is pretty good considering he's using a card less powerful than the HD 5550: http://www.hwcompare.com/332/radeon-hd-3650-vs-radeon-hd-5550/I played about 1 1/2. 14GB????? 10 bucks says it's full of s*** that will later be released as DLC. That's a massive size for a game with pretty average textures and small maps.C_Rule
Agreed. BF3 was way smaller. Skyrim is way smaller. Where is all that space coming from? the game is tiny with a short campaign and small maps with bad textures. Why is it so damn huge? :?

No, BF3 was 13-15GB's for people who lived outside America. That was the language pack.[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"][QUOTE="C_Rule"]14GB????? 10 bucks says it's full of s*** that will later be released as DLC. That's a massive size for a game with pretty average textures and small maps.Jebus213

Considering there's only 15,000 people playing the game right now on PC. Oh, how's the performance anyway? About crappy as Black ops for no reason?I played about 1 1/2. P2P is horrible right now, so much lag. On dedicated the game is good. But it is a little to crazy though.

Very smooth performance. A much, much better launch than Black Ops. And this is only on my laptop.
[QUOTE="James161324"]Considering there's only 15,000 people playing the game right now on PC. Oh, how's the performance anyway? About crappy as Black ops for no reason? My friend is running the game just fine on max settings with everything turned on, SSAO on high, 4x AA at 1080p on an HD 3650 which is a card weaker than the HD 5550, and just below the GT 8600... It would suffice to say, there is no multiplatform game that is this efficient in terms of resources used vs output, and apparently some people are saying it runs just like MW2 but with slightly better FPS and visuals(for the PC version :P) and all the fuzziness you'd see in the X360 version are fixed by 4x AA as well as turning the settings high, but if you play on minimum settings(I don't know, some people still have pentium II's right?) it will look like the X360 version. I haven't dipped below 58 FPS so far with sync every frame enabled(capped at 60 FPS) and neither has my friend using a GT 450 so the game runs better than most PC exclusives, fortunately or unfortunately. And as for MW3 on PC, it seems to be getting a decent number of players considering how much it gets bashed on the internet(thus turning PC users away from it):I played about 1 1/2. P2P is horrible right now, so much lag. On dedicated the game is good. But it is a little to crazy though.
