Motherboard:
MSI 970A-G45 AMD 9 Series
or
ASUS AMD 990X
CPU:
AMD Phenom II X6 1035T
RAM:
Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3
Video Card:
EVGA Geforce GTX 460 SC
Hard Drive:
WD500AAKX
Optical Drive:
Sony Optiarc 24x DVDRW Drive
Case:
Cooler Master RC-430-KWN1 Elite 430 |
Power Supply:
OCZ ModXStream Pro Power Supply - 600-Watt, Modular, Dual +12V Rails, SATA, 80Plus

I was wondering if everything listed above are all compatible with each other.

I actually came up with this list from another topic, but I figured it'd be better to create another one for compatibility.

I want to get the ASUS AMD 990X motherboard since it supports SLI, but I don't know how compatible it is with everything else I have. Also, does this ASUS motherboard perform better than the MSI?

The only thing I would change is the cpu to a 960T, because that 1035T is only 2.6 ghz and is not a black edition harder to overclock.

I second this, the Zosma is great.

990X is probably a better choice if you prefer Nvidia, because it gets you the SLI option, and of course there are more extra features than the cheaper 970 boards. If you don't mind the price Asus M5A99X evo is alright, but Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 has better vrm and it's cheaper.

What's the lowest end x6 that's BE? 1055T?

I noticed all of AMDs 45nm cpus are drying up quick.

Are you talking about this one? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056D5AMY/ref=asc_df_B0056D5AMY1910618?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B0056D5AMY I was actually recommended that in my other topic, but stuck with the 1035T since the 960T was out of stock. Maybe it was you that recommended it to me (I'm not very good with usernames).

. Is a DVD/cd burner the only thing missing for this build?
