My computer acts normal until this comes up:

Generic Host Process for Win32 Sevices has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Send Error Report Don't Send

Sound in videos stops working and when I open iTunes a message comes up:

iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly.

Songs do not play at all. Sometimes the bar at the bottom of the screen with the start button changes to old style for a second. To fix the sound I have to restart the computer. It seems to take a while to do anything after I click Shut Down or Restart. I've done a bunch of scans with Avira, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Malwarebyte's Anti Malware but they don't find anything. The first scan with Spybot found about 90 tracking cookies but they're gone now.

What do I do?

Installing a newer version of your audio driver should do the trick.

You will need to go to your PC manufacturers website, typically on the homepage there is a search box, input your computer model in the search box to pull all info on your PC.

Mine for example would be "www.hp.com" search for "ProBook 4720s", select my laptop "HP Probook 4720s EnergyStar", "Software and Driver Downloads" link, now selecting my OS (Operating System), now there is a list of all the drivers that come with the laptop, select the audio driver (there are two that are by the same manufacturer, theoretically either should work but in the case the on I download does not I will download the other.)

If when you finally get a list of audio drivers pulled up and you have more than one company (RealTek, Soundblaster, IDT) you should be able to hover your mouse pointer over the speaker in the system tray and it should show you which company you need, if not right click the speaker select "Open Volume Mixer" a window should appear in the top lefthand corner there should be a "devices" button select that to see which driver you will need to download.

This seems like a long process but it is quicker and more reliable than letting Windows try to find the latest driver in their database.

Is Realtek HD Audio what I need to get? I hover over a speaker symbol in the bottom right of the screen.

If your PC is made by a certain manufacturer (like Dell etc) you should go to their website and there should be a way to look up the model number of your computer to get all the correct drivers you need.

If you built your PC you can go the the manufacturer of your motherboard's website and do the same thing.

If you need help finding it just tell us your PC brand and model number or the model number of your motherboard.

This way you can be 100% sure you install the correct driver.

It's an HP and I searched HP Pavilion a1657c because there's a sticker that says that at the bottom.

You can search for it here. They even have an auto detect option.

Click on "support and drivers."

uninstall your current audio drivers from control panel/add remove programs (will be called RealTek high definition audio drivers or something similar.)

You may have to restart your computer, then install the new one you downloaded.

Shouldn't matter. If you still have problems try uninstalling the drivers completely first.

Nevermind I actually just dowloaded it. I deleted it then installed the one I downloaded so I'll just wait and see if it worked.

Oh and when I start my computer it sometimes gets stuck at the backround and doesn't load anything else. I just had to restart twice for it to work.

Just now a new tab opened up automatically, and it said windows security has found 12 viruses. I clicked on remove all and then it wanted me to download something(windows security setup or something). I Xed out. It was probably a scam trying to get me to download another virus? I had a virus similar to that before and the antivirus programs didn't find anything. Now they still aren't finding anything and I'm thinking it's a virus, not a program I need to reinstall.

I'm not saying that you can't repair the damage by yourself, it might even be a simple problem. But finding the issue could turn this topic you made into 10 pages.

Most people need to reinstall Windows at some point, but if it's really too much hassle for you I assume you have tried installing and running antivirus and anti malware software.

That's a virus, spyware to be specific. By clicking on ANYTHING it installed some more viruses on your computer. So, format. Or, try Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Spyware Terminator, Spybot Search and Destroy, Super AntiSpyware, and Kaspersky. Boot into safe mode and scan with all of them. Maybe they can find it. Spyware can be tricky and often needs a dedicated spyware program to find.
