Okay as I came back from supper playing starcraft 2 the sound was working and everything. But all of a sudden the power went out and my computer shut down. I rebooted the computer and went to go play starcraft 2 again. But the sound wasn't working so I assumed it was the game. But sure enough I went on youtube to see if it was working and it wasn't! Is there a fix? Please help me ASAP! UPDATE PLEASE READ: I checked to see if my speaker was unplugged and it was was plugged in. I checked the sound drivers and updated them it said they were all up to date. But when I went to playback devices it said Speaker then under it it said Not Plugged In? Can someone please help me its not muted either
if it's realtek and their crappy drivers which it sounds like then you need to disable auto jack detection in the realtek sound manager settings, that should get you your audio back
1) Try clicking on "Mute All" then click it off again, for some reason that works on my Toshiba laptop when I have to do a grand reset and the sound doesn't work
2) It may be an issue with the actual speakers themselves, if you can, try and listen to something else through them (iPod, TV) and see if that's the problem
