Today when I was burning a dvd, my cpu temperature went up to 87 degrees, which I think is a bit high and I noticed it by a red light flashing on my motherboard. What should I do to stop the temperatures from getting so high? I haven't noticed the temperatures getting this high before.

Um, when you burn a DVD? ...then how hot do your CPU get when you run prime95 = 120c? (as in not needing much CPU power to burn a DVD) Untill you've fix'ed the problem you should really stay off that PC. Make sure theres no dust in the CPU cooler, make sure the fan spins like it should, exchange the cooler paste and refit the CPU cooler. Theres zillions of guides on how to refit a CPU cooler with new cooling paste, just head off to youtube if you are unceartain of how to do so.
