Edited: My new computer all of a sudden makes a real loud noise and then shuts off and restarts. I'm pretty sure the fan speeds up like 10 times as fast for 3 seconds and then the PC shuts completely off and then turns back on. It's been doing this all day about once per hour. The first time it happened the PC had only been on 30-60 minutes. Its not that hot in the room either. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Does anyone know a forum where I could get an answer to this, like a technical site forum?

Is this happening in a continuous loop or it just restarts every hour or so? Like reboot, cuts off / reboot, cuts off etc.

Also, does your screen turn blue when this happens? After it reboots, does windows give you options to boot in safe mode or does it act like nothing happened?

Are all of your heatsinks/fans etc, seated correctly and securely?

Even if it isn't too hot, parts can still get hot enough to reach the shutdown temp.

most likely overheating, what are ur comp specs? anyways you should definently DL PC wizard and check all of ur temperatures. oh and did u build it urself or get it from cyberpower? similar thing happened to me they didnt care until i called and threatened to sue the for selling me a faulty system. then they put a 8800gts a new mobo and a new PSU in it. that fixed it.

check the temperature of your processor. a ghetto way to do this is while your pc is running, and your grounded, touch your heatsink, if it's not hot, it's not seated correctly.

I wouldn't rule out a power supply problem, like it's broken. try swapping out a new one if the overheating isn't an issue.

Sounds like either a ghetto PSU or heatsinks installed incorrectly.

Do you think if I get another one of the same thing it may have the same problems? How likely would that be.

just have them fix it, if they gave you a warranty when you bought itthey are obligated to fix it.

Its not a place that even could fix it, so I'll be trying to return it completely. The one thing that puzzles me now is that while the turning on the PC problem was there from day 1, the restarting problem just started a month after getting it.
