Hey y'all, basically I'm planning to do my first build, but have no clue what I really need besides this...http://www.glhf.co.uk/ultra/74-glhf-2500k-oc.htmlas a template.

I have been told thats quite cheap for pre-built, but as always you can save money building it you'reself, you can learn, and then it makes future upgrades much easier.

Essentially my budget is £800 (but saving money WOULD BE NICE)

UK obviously - England

The PC I want to make, I want to last me a few years 3-5 (obviously I dont expect to be running games on High in 3 years), a PC that can run the likes of BF3 on its best settings, essentially the PC i linked but as good or better for my budget.

I do have a few things though...

8GB ram minimum

I want an OS (Windows7)

Harddrive 500GB would do fine but bigger is cool too

(Also I do design, so dont know if that needs to be taken into considaration)

Would be extremely nice if someone could sort me out a build and link me everything, etc.

Thanks a lot

xo

P.S. You lot will prolly see a lot of me here once I start building and needing help:D (although I think I may have found a shop near me that can build me up a pc from my parts for 50quid, but Id wanna learn

mh. well you could just go to ebuyer uk and buy yourself those exact parts as in the linked pc. thats not a bad pc for the price though, theyre probably charging you £100 to £150 to set it all up.

Its easy mate, iv never build a pc b4, ordered all the parts you see below + some other bits and it took me around 30mins to put it all together and turn it on (obviously i had to then install windows).

Get you parts from novatech or scan iv used both of these and never had a problem.

You may want to edit your post seercirra. I've heard that mentioning said site can get you banned...

c'est la vie. TPB is a perfectly legal site. Its legal to share things and download copies of software you already own. if gamestop behave like that then theyre just being fascists.

This comes to a total £806. Abit of shopping around, you may be able to get it cheaper. But it wont be much

comes to £802

keep in mind that (assuming you already have a copy of win 7) you can download a cracked version for free that works perfectly from sites like the pirate bay. so if you already have a copy of win 7 which youve paid for but dont have the disk anymore, i'd do that and save £70 buying another one.

That case is so ugly. It looks like the prebuilt in the OP is a good deal.

He could save himself even more cash by getting one of these bundles as each part is cheaper than when bought separately.
